After having played around with some random mic preamps on the breadboard and in LTspice lately, I thought I might go back to basics with a fuzz face derivative - the Zvex Woolly Mammoth. Brother to the Fuzzolo and Mastoron (they all share the same bones).

ReplyDeleteTop tip... Add a 100k pot before the input and it'll act like the push/relax on the mastrotron. Great for getting this to work on active basses (it hates them)

DeleteIt's a wicked pedal but it hates active circuits and buffers...sounds like a farty, dying battery. Side effect of the fuzz face backbone I guess.
