DEATH BY AUDIO: Evil Fuzz

Thought I was overdue for a regular vero layout, as it has been a while - schematic available at PedalPCB.

It has the usual DBA weirdness - upside down low-gain silicon transistors etc (reverse beta).

DEATH BY AUDIO: Supersonic Fuzz Gun

This was one of my first attempts at DIY guitar effects - and it was a spectacular failure (different layout, all my fault, no doubt).  I feel like I need to revisit this one on the breadboard, and I do owe someone a nasty uncontrollable fuzz that oscillates...

Again like a lot of early DBA, reverse beta transistors, the usual 910k resistors etc.

DEATH BY AUDIO: Fuzz War V2

The first version of the Death By Audio Fuzz War is notoriously tricky to clone - this is the second version, which is a modded Jumbo Tone Bender with a tweaked tone stack.  So, in other words, it's a modded Big Muff.

DEATH BY AUDIO: Fuzz War V1

The Death by Audio Fuzz War V1 is notoriously hard to build by all accounts, which makes me want to try.  Might breadboard this one first to sort out any bias issues before committing to the board.

DEATH BY AUDIO: Supersonic Fuzz Gun, Point to Point Layout

One of the pedals that put Death by Audio on the map - the Supersonic Fuzz Gun.  It has been reported as quite hit and miss depending on the exact type of transistors used, so best to breadboard or prepare for some experimentation.

2 x MPSA06G and 1 x BC517 (Q3) are reportedly a better choice for transistors.  As always, check pinouts.

DEATH BY AUDIO: Interstellar Overdriver, Point to Point Layout

The Interstellar Overdriver is possibly the only normal pedal Death By Audio makes, and it's not challenging to get to work either.  Some are a nightmare.

Sorry about the weird layout with the dual 100k gain pot - there isn't one in DIY Layout Creator, so had to make it work as best I could.  Hope that makes sense...   you can always cross check with s schematic on the web.

If you don't have a dual 100k pot, try it with a regular pot, as gain-b isn't essential to get a sound out of this.

I also dropped a germanium transistor in as Q2 once, and it sounded pretty interesting.
