ARBITER: Treble & Bass Face

The Arbiter Treble and Bass Face is the lesser-known cousin of the Fuzz Face from the mid to late sixties and was probably overshadowed by the Colorsound Power Booster, which had more gain on tap, and perhaps a nicer frequency response.  Speaking of which, it's easy enough to mod this to suit your tastes.  I might add some suggestions for this later.

It's not a fuzz, it's more of a preamp really - practically no dirt to speak of (or at least very minor at best).

ARBITER: Fuzz Face, Tag Board Layout

I typically buy tag board strips with 18 lugs, usually leaving 6 left over after a few of my recent builds.  So, what to do with a small board?  Fuzz Face...   has to be one of the all-time classics of guitar effects.

And on the eighth day...  well not exactly that long ago, but close - and yes others came before, but it's hard to not acknowledge the Arbiter Fuzz Face as being a giant of vintage fuzz, a design icon if you like, with possibly the most widely recognised enclosure ever made.  It's hard not to like a Fuzz Face.
