Output Transformer Primary Inductance

Primary Inductance Calculator

Instructions:

1. Connect a resistor (R) in series with the transformer's primary winding.
2. Connect the signal generator output to the top of the resistor, and the other side of the transformer primary to the signal generator ground.
3. Apply a sine wave from the signal generator at a known frequency (suggested: 80 Hz, close to a guitar's low E).
4. Measure the voltage across the resistor (V_R) and across the transformer (V_L).
5. Enter the values below to calculate the primary inductance.
