Given that I've been playing around with a few circuits using this as a replacement for the opamp, I thought I should make a little vero layout, which can be dropped into an existing circuit to test it.
If you are unfamiliar with this, it's a simplified discrete opamp - basically, build it, and place the appropriate leads into the matching locations in the socket for any standard opamp (TL071 as an example). Of course, if it's a dual, you will need two...

But why? There are heaps of perfectly good opamps out there. That's a very good point - it sounds different in most cases, to my ears a little smoother; perhaps something to do with the lower gain? Apart from that, it's just another fun thing to play with.
