A recent request. This is a monster of a pre-amp from Jonny Reckless. Best to read the details on DIY stomp boxes, as there's a lot to this.
I've not built this, and there's a bit going on with it. I'd suggest checking it against the schematic before starting. I've looked over it a few times, but I probably won't be building this one any time soon to confirm it.

ReplyDeletethe cut in the top row (8), where the 9V goes in seem to be a mistake?
ReplyDeleteIt's missing the 1N5817 diode across it - thank you, will fix it later today
ReplyDeleteHello! Thanks for sharing this. I have build it and it sounds great but it has a lot of noise, like oscillation noise. I don´t know if you know how to solve this :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, the 470nF capacitor should be a 470pF according to schematic
DeleteI've never tried building this one, as it's not really for me. Oscillation can happen with high-gain circuits, unfortunately I can't tell you why yours is doing this. Sometimes internal wiring can be the issue. Thanks for pointing out the 470n
